About this artwork
Revival of Auguste Renoir's "Luncheon of the Boating Party". Impressionist painting from 1881. The work was painted on the terrace of the Maison Fournaise in Chatou, where Renoir frequently boarded. He did not know, when he began this major work, if he could finish it because his financial situation was not great at that time.
The recovery here in a "style" street art brutos, features the characters in a similar setting although more maritime. The… seaside has replaced the banks of the Seine in the northwest of Paris. The canvas was drawn with thick felt and then painted with acrylic. The faces, the characters are slightly modified from the original canvas.
