About this artwork
The sixth picture in the "Horizons" series differs from previous works in that the horizontal lines in the composition are less prominent, and even partially eliminated. The square picture is also characterized by warm earth tones, which are contrasted by dark blue areas. The rough-feeling surface is furrowed by black lines and shades. Bright spots give the overall calm "earth picture" a special shine.

Günther Baechler, an art teacher, painter and peace diplomat, works with natural materials such as sand, stones and wood.
