About this artwork
Fresh was born at a time when I needed a breath of fresh air. Painting was like opening the windows and letting everything in: the good, the difficult, the unexpected. Blues are my deep calm, the place where I retreat; oranges and yellows, those jolts that remind me I'm alive.
I work layer upon layer, as if each stroke were a different breath. There are areas I keep as they appeared, because sometimes the first emotion is the most honest. Others… I cover up, because some feelings need time to express themselves.
It's not a landscape or a bloom: it's the visual imprint of what a fresh, new, unrepeatable moment feels like. My intention isn't for you to see my story, but for you to recognize something in yours.

Gabriel Lass, painter and sculptor, began his artistic path outlining houses and gardens, but found in painting a place to eternalize feelings. It uses an aesthetic of expressive abstraction, using vibrant colors and dynamic strokes, often with acrylic, seeking textures and layers with different tools and brushes for visual and tactile impact. His work is an eloquent testimony of his deepest emotions, life experiences and significant moments, building an emotional dialogue with the viewer.
