About this artwork
In my work "Route 66," I captured the atmosphere of the famous road using abstract mixed-media techniques. I was inspired by my own journey along Route 66: Although not on a motorcycle, numerous motorcyclists with funny glasses crossed my path—I incorporated this humorous encounter into the image.
Using marble sand, crackle paste, metal parts, cardboard, and a spatula-applied border, I created a picture full of textures, cracks, and 3D effects.… The nostalgic motorcycle goggles I placed on the painting immediately draw attention. Light blue, gray-blue, and pastel bronze tones create a harmonious interplay of movement and calm. For me, "Route 66" combines creative freedom, humor, and industrial elegance—a unique piece that fills spaces with original charisma and a personal story.
