About this artwork
In my work "Red II," I captured the dynamics of colors and materials in an abstract 3D painting. Layer upon layer of filler, marble dust, soapstone, and Baltic Sea sand were applied to a black background, combined with eight layers of paint in white, red, black, and Naples yellow. A bold red stripe of rough Baltic Sea sand separates the image, creating a fascinating contrast.
The color accents and partial chrome lacquer give the work additional… depth and a fascinating effect that changes depending on the light. For me, "Red II" is a play of texture, color, and haptics: rough, sculptural, and vibrant. This unique piece invites viewers to discover the combination of dynamism, depth, and artistic precision—an eye-catcher that enriches any room.
