About this artwork
In my work "Windmills of La Manca", dream and reality merge in an energetic dance of colors and textures. The oil paints, gold leaf, resin, sand and marble powder that I use enhance the physical texture and evoke a deep sensuality. The upper layer of work in the painting has a very uneven height, reaching four centimeters in places, with a total depth of two centimeters. All kinds of natural stones are used in the work, an experienced eye can even… find raw amber, dried cacti and even artificial greenery for railways. All this is carefully put together in styles such as abstraction, expressionism and symbolism, exploring the themes of confrontation and reflection. This painting is intended not only to attract attention, but also to make the viewer reflect on personal and collective myths. It brings dynamic and inspiring energy to any home.
We are surrounded by an incomprehensible world in which you can get lost. We look into it and try to find ourselves. This is an ongoing process. The artist sees deeper and tries to convey what he saw. What he was able to see and express becomes a fact that did not exist before. The artist's life is a journey. He will never be satisfied until the end. He will always look into this world and create facts. Connoisseurs will look for definitions, connoisseurs will discover new colors, children will enjoy pictures. At some point the artist asks himself and others: "What is happening? What is this world, where are we? What is this life we live?" He collects his work and makes an exhibition. Most likely, there will be no exact answer, new questions arise that are the engines of this journey called life.
