About this artwork
Making something which I don’t own actually “mine”, in a way…
This is what photography does. The image may be manipulated but I am not changing but a present age of its formal qualities like sharpness, tone, colours. I will never become familiar with a vehicle like this. The image is awkward, and familiar. It’s an unfamiliar, a little bit frightening subject, but it is turned into a two dimensional, frozen image, controlled formally, rather than… just looking at it as somewhat of an unknown-distant object. I have brought a new kind of feeling turning it into a picture: colourfulness.
