About this artwork
Bold and defiant, Undaunted surges with emotional resilience. Deep reds, stormy grays, and fractured white collide in palette knife layers that refuse to retreat. Kempczynski’s impasto and pallet technique amplifies the tension — each ridge a declaration of strength.
“Undaunted is a force of nature. The palette knife work is raw and fearless — you can feel the emotion in every stroke. It commands attention without asking for permission. In any collection,… it’s more than a painting — it’s a daily reminder to stand tall.”

Gery Kempczynski is a Chicago-based contemporary artist known for atmospheric abstract landscapes and expressive abstract works. His textured oil and acrylic paintings explore the emotional terrain between stillness and movement, blending minimalist restraint with layered depth. Through impasto knife work and gestural brush techniques, he builds surfaces that capture subtle shifts in light, color, and motion.
In his short time on Singulart, Gery has already placed four works with collectors — including the recent sale of Desert Sunrise to a private collector in Yvelines, France. Whether landscape-inspired or fully abstract, his paintings resonate with those seeking art that speaks softly but leaves a lasting impression.
