About this artwork
My artwork "Connoisseurs (Getty Museum)" was inspired by my love of museums and the beautiful folks that spend contemplative time engaging in the life affirming creations housed in these treasure houses. In the past four months, I have visited the Getty Museum in Los Angeles multiple times to bask in the collected works of Gustave Caillebotte in the marvelous exhibition "Gustave Caillebotte: Painting Men".
In my view museums are wonderfully equipped… to inspire human connections and mutual understanding through art.
"Connoisseurs (Getty Museum)" is richly painted in layers of acrylic colors imported from Australia, Schminke watercolors from Germany, and Sennelier pastels & Conté crayons from France on 100% cotton deckled paper from Stonehenge paper manufactured in the US.
