About this artwork
In which the entire composition consists of just five colors. Here, the illusion is created of a window that is half submerged in the sea, while the silhouette of a mountain stretches in the background. The scene is reminiscent of a sunset or a landscape at twilight - an image that appears less abstract and exudes a quiet, meditative atmosphere. The background is flat and calm, while the frame was painted with bold brushstrokes. One half of the frame… dips into the sea and appears to merge visually with the water. Yet the visible brushstrokes allow it to remain recognizable - a balance between disappearance and existence, between dissolution and identity. Window reflects the interplay between boundary and passage - a window as a view or as a barrier? The work remains open to interpretation and invites the viewer to find their own perspective within it.
