About this artwork
Het strakke verticale banenpatroon verwijst naar architectuur en raster — leesbaar als façade, vensterstructuur, datanet of mediapixel. Binnen dat kille systeem verschijnt de kleine vallende figuur: geïsoleerd, bijna weggefilterd. Door de schaal en de reductie tot fragment wordt het individuele drama herleid tot een visuele storing.
Gebaseerd op de foto van een vallende man uit de WTC-torens verschuift het werk naar een reflectie op mediaherinnering… en morele afstand: het onvoorstelbare wordt patroon, het unieke moment wordt beeldcode. Wat overblijft is niet de schok, maar de registratie — en precies dat verlies aan directe emotie vormt de kern van het beeld.
