About this artwork
In Anticipation—In this work, I explore the state between stability and change. I am interested in the moment before visible movement—a condensed, tense stillness in which transformation is already inherent. The composition moves between harmony and deliberate disruption, between fluid structure and imposed resistance.
My starting point is my ongoing interest in the dialogue between opposites: light and dark, transparency and density, control and… intuitive action. These polarities do not serve as a purely formal means, but rather as carriers of energy. The tension arises in the spaces between, where perception and material meet.
The layered, pigmented wax creates physical depth and a vibrant surface that absorbs and reflects light. Repeated heating and fusing create zones of transparency and compression where process and time remain visible.
