In Barely Warm, I'm working on a very fine threshold. I'm interested in the moment when something begins without yet revealing itself – barely perceptible, but physically palpable.
The gentle light is neither a promise nor a goal. It is a first warming, cautious and quiet.
The dark areas act as a limiting factor, not as an obstacle, but as a necessary resistance that concentrates energy.
When longing encounters resistance, it becomes energy. Not… as an eruption, but as a gathering.
My work arises from this inner tension: between delicacy and support, between openness and boundaries.
I am not interested in the resolution, but in the state just before it – where perception awakens and takes direction.
