About this artwork
Whisper of Longing reveals a calmer, more introspective facet of obsessive feelings. Unlike intense contrasts, its effect arises from subtle layers and a constant presence that the eye slowly takes in.
The work was created in a slow, intuitive process. The encaustic technique with liquid wax, translucent transparency and delicate texture makes it possible to express feelings that are difficult to put into words – the quiet, luminous tension of… longing that hovers beneath the surface.
