About this artwork
This painting is part of a series of six plein air works created during a skiing trip. Despite the winter conditions, I painted directly from nature, returning each time to the same spot in the forest. Although the viewpoint remained unchanged, the atmosphere and the state of nature were constantly transforming.
Snow, skiing, fresh mountain air, and the quiet beauty of the Alps are reflected through emotion, movement, and expressive brushstrokes.… This work is about the feeling of freedom, calm, and joy that only the Austrian winter landscape can give.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
