About this artwork
I painted this gouache from life in Croatia, standing among the pine trees and working directly in the warm Mediterranean light. I was drawn to the rhythm of the trunks, the soft movement of the branches, and the quiet space between the trees.
This work is less about detail and more about a feeling — warmth, air, and stillness — a brief moment of calm experienced and painted on site.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
