About this artwork
When Isabelle was painting this minimalist piece, the little black dots appeared at the very end, and once they did they told her it was finished. And although they like to hang out with friends, each has its own personality, confident enough to hold his/her own in a crowd. This piece was created to compliment "6 Black Dots", also available through singulart and shown hanging as a pair in the detail photos. In deliberate contrast to the contemporary… design, the natural birch wood edges of the panel (the cradle) are unpainted and sealed with a thin coat of cold wax to expose the beauty of the wood. Eleven Black Dots is acrylic painted on a 1.5 inch cradled birch wood panel, and is not intended for a frame. See the detail photos to see the finish on the edge of the cradle and the surface. The artist will accept $2800 if 9 Black Dots and 6 Black Dots are sold as a pair.
