About this artwork
This unusual shape is ideal for narrow walls, areas beside tall plants, and beside floor to ceiling windows. Acrylic on a cradled birch wood panel (the panel is custom made for the artist in the lumber rich US state of Oregon), "Breakout" is a perfect example of how the artist builds up beautiful layers of rich color, then sands back into the layers in a way that makes the shapes appear as if they are literally "breaking out" of the surface. Please… see close up photos to experience exactly what we mean. Although you can see the textures, the actual surface of the painting is almost as smooth as glass, hardly a brush stroke shows - which is the artist's way of focusing viewers purely on color and shape. Allowing for easy installation, a "cleat" is included to make this piece easy to hang perfectly straight and against the wall without any gaps. A special crate must be constructed for shipping, which means about a week before it can ship - well worth the wait.
« Beautiful art comes from inspiration. Inspiration comes from being present, from feeling alive. That's what art is for. »
