In creating this piece, I chose a palette of soothing greens and structured elements to express balance and renewal. a cradled birch wood panel (see images of back of this painting to view the "cradle"). When you view the close up images I've included, you'll see many peeks into background layers of many different colors - that evidence of the "history of the painting" is achieved by sanding back into layers of paint as I work. This piece is not framed because I love to show off the edges of the panel - a beautiful contrast between natural wood and abstract design. This painting is varnished on all surfaces, front, back and edges.
