About this artwork
The INTRECCI series was born from a personal experience: during a walk in the countryside, I came across a series of cut branches, abandoned haphazardly in a meadow... They reminded me of the bodies of soldiers fallen in battle, abandoned to their oblivion. The image as a whole suggested silence and respect... Furthermore, all those involuntary tangles made my gaze wander from one point to another without pause. Those knots suggested to me the idea…
that, symbolically, not everything in life can be unraveled, put back in order... but it's also true that even a problem, a character flaw, a seemingly ignoble subject holds an indisputable allure.
