About this artwork
My painting, while starting from a realistic premise, undergoes an evolution. If you look at the close-up details, you realize it's a pictorial interweaving, which I like to call "embroidery," where the brushstrokes interact with each other to form a series of individual abstract paintings.
In the case of the figures, everything leads far from reality: from the title, which is never descriptive, to the color, often monochrome to highlight what lies… behind the emotion expressed by that face, rather than the somatic details.
