About this artwork
In this painting which is imaginative I have used lots of colours to combine the elements of mountains, flowers, rocks and a water body. The flowers in the foreground was painted in a paste form which in the artist language is called impasto. I used brushes, painting knives, palette knives, cotton earbuds and lastly my fingers to create the effects I wanted. My philosophy is always to create something pleasing to the eyes that gives the relief of… stress as one looks at my art. Just imagine being in the painting sitting somewhere observing this scene which can be further described as the intersection of flowers, majestic mountains, rocks and tranquil waters.
« I am an artist with a unique voice that has range, power, and discipline. »
Jacob Kwesi Bennett is an artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in his native Ghana, Slovenia, the United States, and Italy. His main objective is to create something of beauty that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Bennett's figurative compositions are representational, rendered in a "stylized and idealized way". He weaves symbolism, allegory, indirect references, and esoteric purpose within each of his pieces.
