About this artwork
He has been a fun of classic jaguar cars since childhood. Kwesi has been privileged to attend 2 classic jaguar shows at Cheshire, UK in 2018 and 2022. This is his second painting of a jag , and he chose the e type because of its unique shape. E type was first launched in 1961, and some celebrities who owned one are Steve McQueen, George Best, Mick Jagger, Frank Sinatra, Peter Sellers , Princess Grace and so on. He started this painting in early 2024…
but it turned out to be very challenging and needed much attention especially with the tyres. He therefore put it aside and continued with other paintings until the summer holidays when I had time to complete it. He chose colour red for the car because red is a unique colour which symbolises passion and desire. Kwesi has painted the background and foreground using his own abstract designs of patches of colours. In the background is written e type.

His main objective is to create something of beauty that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Bennett's figurative compositions are representational, rendered in a "stylized and idealized way". He weaves symbolism, allegory, indirect references, and esoteric purpose within each of his pieces.
