The macro photograph was taken within the spaces created by the stones that form the wall of the Iberian archaeological site on Tòs Pelat mountain in Moncada (Valencia). These are the details we don't usually notice, yet they survive as fragments of ephemeral nature.
Human occupation of the Iberian oppidum of Tòs Pelat began in the early period,… around the mid-6th century BC, and ended during the High Iberian Period, around the mid-4th century BC, a crucial moment in Iberian culture when some sites were abandoned. It is currently a site of great archaeological interest; its study can help us understand the beginnings of the Iberianization process and the territorial organization of the central Valencian coast from the 6th to the 4th centuries BC.
A contemporary photographer with over three decades of experience. My artistic practice is deeply rooted in observation and an essential connection to the primary elements of nature. Through my lens, I explore the delicate balance between the small and the ephemeral, capturing details that often go unnoticed by the casual observer.
My work is characterized by a search for silence, stillness, and a genuine encounter with the landscape, giving rise to what I call invisible landscapes. One of my main collections, Fragments of Ephemeral Nature, was captured in the historical setting of the Iberian settlement of Tòs Pelat, in Moncada, Valencia. This series transforms natural fragments into evocative and imaginary landscapes, designed to generate a sense of calm and visual well-being, especially for spaces that seek essence rather than saturation.
