About this artwork
Collapsing into memories dating back when the artist was a child, she recalled the lovely era of gray, black and pink argyle sweaters, bobby socks, and saddle shoes. She recalled being a painfully shy little girl around teenagers who would visit her parents' fountain shop. Whenever the teenagers came in, Jaye would hide under a table. The meandering and escaping of things that frightened her, are elements of this piece as well as the joy of having… been living in an era of bubble shaped brightly colored cars!. All of this she attempted to communicate in this space in this time. The end result was experiencing the happiness in living right here right now! The dimensions listed are for artwork, the frame is light wood and is 16" x 20"
