About this artwork
In this creation, I've intertwined cool blues with warm undertones to manifest tranquility amidst life's complexity. The geometric abstraction signifies structured memories, while fluid graphite lines dance across, symbolizing letting go and the freedom to move forward. This piece evokes a serene yet invigorating energy, destined to bring balance and reflection to any space it inhabits.I have been investigating the notions of land, peace, ownership… and home. And with my series Abstracted Memories, also dealing with the past as it enters my present and informs my future. This piece is about saying goodbye to the past and opening doors to the present and being at peace. I painted over a multi colored canvas that had a strong foothold in my past. It didn't serve me to look at it, and the more I did, the angrier I got until one day I said "enough is enough, it is time to let go of this crazy episode linked to the past, right here and right now in the present". #peace #blue, cream, green
