About this artwork
She was thinking about the topsy turvy nature of the world, and how some folks or groups are targeted, and then went on from there...These thoughts ran into one another, and she dived deeply in. First the colors orange, red, green and yellow. The yellow became more chartreuse. As she thought about injustices in the world, she added graphite details, and ran her sticks across the surface of her brushstrokes, and then a hint of red got into the mix,…
and while the worries of the world remained unchanged, she herself could express something and make something beautiful from a vile impetus.
