About this artwork
This is another case of May, the month of, when I was traveling to and from a beautiful Charleston wedding, arranging an art exhibition, working on three others, submitting to several others and then at the end of the day, finding myself with exhaustion of energy and reexamining my previous works. I also traveled to Princeton for my husband's reunion weekend. What on earth is going on? War and more war, and with that I took upon myself to look at… a piece from my White Space series and said there isn't really any white space going on, only conflict and I began to paint over the red and white painting, making delineating spaces for where people may have lived before wars. And that is how this little painting came to life.
Jaye Alison Moscariello harnesses water-based mediums like acrylic and watercolor, influenced by a creative upbringing and artistic journey. Through abstraction and intuitive color selection, she captures the interplay between forms, with lines that articulate deep-seated emotions. Her art resonates with joy and upliftment, transforming personal and worldly complexities into visual harmony.
I was recently interviewed by Harryet Candee of The Artful Mind magazine, you can read the interview and see some of my current and past work here: https://issuu.com/theartfulmindartzine/docs/the_artful_mind_june_2024_issuu
