About this artwork
The " Horizont Dreams " painting captures a tender moment of friendship and unity between two young women, set against the vibrant backdrop of a sunny day beneath a palm tree. Through their contrasting expressions—one dreamy and reflective, the other more serious and direct—the painting evokes a delicate balance of strength and gentleness. These two lifelong friends, whose diverse heritage speaks to London's multicultural essence, share a deep bond… and a passion for social justice and activism. The composition explores themes of womanhood, friendship, and young women's challenges as they prepare to step into their professional futures, confronting issues like objectification and the global climate crisis. Through vibrant colours and intimate detail, this piece reflects the personal journeys and shared ideals that unite them.
The painting is reserved for an exhibition at Mash Gallery in Los Angeles from 21st February to 30th March.
