DRYING-SHIPS Mid May 2023

I lost the absolutely most precious pup on the planet last week. His name was Frankie de Kooning (The Frenchie) and he was a truly pure and innocent soul that you could count on for unconditional love. Preferably on sunny days, Frankie liked to join me on local scouting missions seeking subject matter to paint, and especially loved the well maintained gold course two doors down. His presence on these walks, and in life,… will be desperately missed. With all that said, this one is dedicated to my painting pal and his love of life, of snacks and especially of blooming plants to pee on and trample. It is not a representation of loss, but a homage to a life well lived and loved and to the purest joy all animals bring to us.

Jon Parlangeli is a passionate American painter and sculptor who has widely exhibited his work throughout the U.S. Fascinated by the process of creation, he composes works that experiment with color and the physicality of paint. Parlangeli's creations stand out for their depth and tactility, appearing as explosions of bright color and unexpected shapes.
