REPAINTED!!!! JUST COMPLETED, VERY IMPASTO- DRING-SHIPS APRIL 2024
I just felt the need to let some energy out after a very difficult start to the year, and I've wanted to retouch this self-portrait for some time. However, the retouch morphed into a beautiful explosion of paint (felling much like Action painting) and what emerged from this experience was an abstract expressionist visage of energy, confidence and a certain oneness with the universe.… The process was extremely exciting as I used everything from a brush, rag, back end of a paint tube and even found pieces of broken wood to convey the impasto strokes....seriously satisfying to complete!
