“Buscando a la vida” explores the search for life in a space between presence and dissolution.
The figure appears embedded in a landscape that is both fertile and overwhelming. It represents the attempt to find meaning, identity, and orientation amidst uncertainty.
The work is executed in mixed media (oil, spray paint, and silk ribbon) on canvas. The combination of these materials creates different levels of density and movement, intensifying the… tension between body, space, and perception.
Inspired by the Mexican cosmovision, life is not understood as a stable state, but as a process of constant transformation that is inextricably linked to death.
The work combines figurative elements with symbolic structures and refers to the tension between inner experience and outer reality.
