About this artwork
With Crane he intended to create an elegant and slender creature with a curious mind trying to understand what it is seeing. She is not shy, as she approaches the viewer, and has the characteristic spiral eyes of this artist and the body grated with metal wire. The eyes and the beak are made of reinforced papier-mâché and painted with acrylic paint. The artist has a very special bond with this work.
