About this artwork
In *Parallax III*, cool ice blue and white tones dominate the composition, interspersed with earthy browns and deep black. A broad, sweeping brushstroke in the upper part of the image and a striking dark shape on the right edge add powerful accents.
Generous light overpaintings conceal earlier structures, while fine lines, fractured surfaces, and isolated splashes of color remain visible. The expansive, tranquil areas contrast with the concentrated… dark elements, lending the work a unique tension.
This work belongs to the *Beyond the Visible* series.

Julia Eckardt
Germany
As a self-taught artist, Julia Eckardt works at the intersection of intuition and structure. Her works emerge from a free, experimental process using acrylics and mixed media. Layering, textures, and typography are central elements of her artistic practice.
"Each work is created step by step – through color, texture, gesture, and the use of diverse materials. Layers simultaneously conceal and reveal, inviting a deeper look and a lingering experience in the tension between form and dissolution. I am interested in what remains beneath the surface: traces, the echo of forms, the sediment of the process. My working method is intuitive and open to response."
