Are you looking at the cat…or is it looking at you?
There’s something here that doesn’t stay still.
The background shifts. The colors invert.
Pink moves into blue. Blue rises back into pink.
And in the middle, that gaze.
Calm…
but not quiete.
With Cat’s Blues, I explore a chromatic and perceptual tension through a silent face-to-face.
The background and the subject intersect and reverse: pink shifts into blue, while blue rises back into pink. This… exchange blurs reference points and disrupts the immediate reading of the image.
The feline, both calm and charged with a contained intensity, seems to absorb its environment as much as it detaches from it. The vibrating lines and graphic grid reinforce this instability, allowing the work to oscillate between strong presence and gradual dissolution.
Between control and drift, Cat’s Blues offers a sensitive visual experience, where the gaze never fully settles and becomes part of the image itself.
