About this artwork
With Together, Still Wild, I wanted to explore a form of strength that is rarely shown directly: the strength of connection.
By painting this group of elephants moving together, I was not only depicting the animal itself, but also what exists between them — a collective and instinctive force.
The pink tones came naturally into the composition. I liked the idea of disrupting the usual codes associated with animal power, bringing softness without… weakening the image. Showing that something can remain massive and wild while still feeling sensitive.
As often in my work, the line stays free and vibrant. I am less interested in fixing an image than in revealing a living tension.
With this artwork, I also speak about what keeps us standing: connection, protection, and the feeling of not moving forward entirely alone.
Together, Still Wild is about staying powerful without becoming hard.
