About this artwork
Electrik Sunset est un paysage de seuil.
Un instant suspendu entre promesse et basculement.
J’ai cherché à créer une image ambivalente :
un paradis qui attire autant qu’il inquiète.
Un lieu où l’on ne sait pas encore
si l’on arrive… ou si l’on devrait repartir.
Les palmiers structurent l’espace,
comme une architecture stable face à un ciel instable.
Les nuages vibrent, se fragmentent, se tendent.
La scène semble belle, mais déjà traversée de tensions.…
Le rose fluo devient une lumière intérieure.
Il ne subit pas l’ombre — il la traverse.
Il affirme que la lumière persiste, même dans l’obscurité.
Pendant la création, une ritournelle m’accompagnait :
“C’est l’amour à la plage…”
Deux phrases sont ainsi dissimulées dans la toile,
comme un écho léger posé sur une tension plus profonde.
