About this artwork
In this series of photos taken during trips to red zones in Africa, I have highlighted significant details that few would pay attention to. Each image captures the resilience of local people, the raw beauty of the landscapes, and the stark contrasts between the apparent hostility and cultural richness of these regions. Through my lens, I sought to reveal the hidden poetry of these places.
This photo captures the water reserves behind the hotel gates… in a village. The two reservoirs, imposing and essential, stand like silent guardians, ensuring the daily survival of the inhabitants. The scene, through the grids, symbolizes protection and reveals the crucial importance of this precious resource in a region where access to drinking water is a challenge.
The work is ready to be hung by a hidden system at the back which keeps it two centimeters from the wall.

« An artist exploring the emergence of the image »
I am a visual artist and teacher of art history and applied arts, specializing in the crafts of jewelry making. Holding Master's degrees in Art History, Visual Arts, and Applied Arts, I develop a pictorial practice informed by a reflection on perception, color, material, and the processes of image construction.
Through layering, transparencies, and variations in density, I explore unstable spaces where forms appear, transform, and sometimes dissolve. My work is less concerned with representing landscape than with the sensory mechanisms by which an image emerges in the viewer's gaze. Color becomes a vector of presence and tension, creating perceptual fields where appearance, erasure, and memory coexist. My teaching in the applied arts also informs this focus on materials, gesture, and the processes of transformation.
