About this artwork
I'm interested in the moment when a quick judgment no longer works and we begin to look more closely. Because we rarely see only what's in front of us. Most of the time, we also see what we expect to see.
In this way, the portrait becomes a mirror, not only for the person depicted but also for the viewer. Everyone brings their own experiences and expectations to the table, influencing… what becomes visible in the image.
The relief structure appears to grow out of the portrait. The face doesn't disappear; it's in a process of transformation. The warm rose gold blends with the painting, lending the work a human, almost vulnerable presence.
Not everything is obvious at first glance. Some things only become clear the moment we are ready to look a second time.

« The more curious we are, the more creative we become »
I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
I work in series that develop organically during the process, not from pre-existing concepts. Material plays a central role: acrylic, texture, gold leaf, platinum, and mixed media are not merely decorative elements, but carriers of meaning.
Concealment is not a retreat. It is a deliberate act. It creates distance, protection, and a new way of reading.
Faces and bodies do not appear as surfaces for identification, but rather as spaces for projection. I understand identity not as a state, but as a process, characterized by the tension between visibility and withdrawal.
