About this artwork
This image is meant to evoke memories and feelings. Every viewer will find something in it, perhaps hear the rustling of the palm trees, imagine smelling the salty air on the beach, and glimpse the landscape beyond the window. The work opens a space for thoughts, memories, and inner images. It is about silence, about remembrance, about the moment.
But it's also about the two aspects of nature. On the one hand, the romantic, idyllic side, which we… associate with rest and relaxation, represented by the palm trees and their rustling. In the background, however, one can sense the inhospitable, wild, and menacing dune landscape of southern Australia, on whose coast hundreds of ships ran aground in the 18th century, and whose crews perished.

The artist grew up in Lugano, in a multilingual, art-filled environment.
Although she initially worked as a conference interpreter after her studies in Geneva, her passion for art never left her. The mother of three sons eventually devoted herself entirely to her passion, continuing her studies at summer academies and working tirelessly. Since 2017, she has exhibited regularly in Hamburg and is represented by the Visulex Gallery for Photography in Hamburg.
