About this artwork
Loosely based on the landscape looking east from my home across the Salish Sea that separates Vancouver Island from the BC mainland, this piece, uses layers of acrylic, collage, and pencil, to blend impressionism with semi-abstract forms. I wanted to capture the quiet tension between land and sky, where light dances softly over shifting textures. It brings a serene yet dynamic energy, inviting calm reflection and a sense of connection to nature’s…
quiet power.
