About this artwork
In this photograph, a technical, paved surface with cavities arranged in a grid-like manner can be seen in the shadows, which is clearly of civilized origin. However, nature has already taken possession of the area - in the form of wild plant growth - and overgrown parts of it. The interaction between the geometric, anthropomorphic grid and the intricate, organic growth unmistakably reflects the struggle between civilization and nature.
