This is a new piece I've been working on. With this portrait, I wanted to capture a moment of quiet introspection and raw vulnerability. I focused on balancing structural, energetic brushstrokes with softer, layered washes of color to let her gaze really tell the story. For me, there's a deeply moving, living presence in her expression that feels like it's actively emerging… from the canvas as you look at it.
