About this artwork
In "The Rowers", I wanted to capture a sense of quiet and reflection. The two figures are rowing together across a calm, blue expanse of water, with their movements feeling almost dreamlike. The soft glow around them creates a kind of serene atmosphere, making it feel like they're drifting between reality and something more abstract.
For me, this painting is about the balance between effort and stillness, how we move forward through life, sometimes… in silence, but always in motion. I chose these deep blues and minimal details to give it a peaceful, meditative feel, while still leaving room for interpretation.
