About this artwork
The painting "BLACK SUN" is an abstract painting with rich texture and symbolic meaning of shapes and colours.
To depict essential questions for our world, I choose the opposites: black and white.
We live in a dual world of contradictions: day and night, man and woman, good and evil... I used a lot of black to show the dark side of our time and humanity. However, when the world is plunged into the darkest night, a white light dawns at the horizon.… It is the cyclic nature of the Universe. The red in my painting resonates as ardent feelings and a promise of love. Golden hawks symbolize the victory of hope and light. In my opinion, it is deeply human to not lose hope even in the hardest moments of life. This piece is a gateway to meditate on the bigger questions of our existence and each art lover can perceive what is important to him/her.
The size of the painting is 100x100 cm. Canvas, acrylic, embossing paste, author's technique. The painting is varnished and framed.
