About this artwork
with this work the artist wanted to represent, with reference to Freudian sexual theories, psychology and the male unconscious. The image of a woman (distinguishable only by the vision of the breast) emerging from an indefinite magma. The figure wears a protective helmet as she is the one who pilots male instincts and fantasies. A sort of anthropological and social condemnation of the kind of "hunter" behavior that most often distinguishes the male.…
The work consists of a portion of a mannequin set in an assembly of pieces of wood. the whole structure is finally covered with small aluminum and brass sheets.
