"Dreaming Blue" functions as an archive of a boundary state, capturing the precise moment where consciousness turns inward. Moving away from traditional portraiture, the circular artwork presents the meditative human form strictly as an ongoing process of stabilisation and quiet erasure. It explores the fragile ecology of our internal space, creating an existential field where external definitions disappear into silent, balanced wholeness.
With… this piece, I wanted to investigate the concept of complete psychological withdrawal — the threshold where the noise of the outer world dissolves. The tondo (circular canvas) reinforces this idea of an enclosed, self-sufficient universe. By restricting the work to airy blue tones, I captured energy frozen in a state of deep reflection, inviting the viewer to look past the physical face and experience the stillness hidden beneath.
