About this artwork
This work belongs to my ongoing series Flowers of Life. In it, I explore the contrast between beauty and fragility — and in Broken Flower, this tension becomes especially raw.
I was inspired by graffiti on the street: symbols, signs, and gestures that seem to carry deep meaning — but remain unreadable to me. I’m drawn to their energy, their soul of freedom, of resistance. I don’t try to imitate graffiti directly, but I absorb its spirit and let… it merge with my own intuitive gestures.
At the center of the painting is a flower — broken, yet still present. Like all my works, Broken Flower is deeply personal. It expresses emotions that can’t be spoken aloud. Grief, softness, defiance — all at once. The painting is a fragment of feeling, a language of its own.
