About this artwork
A house from 1720 was inhabited until 20 years ago. The artist traces old ways of life in her drawings with ink and charcoal. In this drawing she deals with the impressions in the house, going from room to room and perceiving the atmosphere of the past. Traces of life can be found on walls, doors and window sills.

Luise Kloos is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Austria whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Hungary, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Croatia, and Germany. Motivated by the immediacy of expression, her abstractions are created with the intent of conveying a sense of tranquility, inviting viewers into "a state that touches them deeply". Kloos's distinctive pieces are made using pencils, ink, and mineral pigments found in the Himalayas.
