The painting's centerpiece is the silhouette of a stylized human head, around and inside which a fine network of lines draws the figure's "shadows," as if a spiritual layer were vibrating behind the visible figure. This fragile drawing structure evokes the inner presence, the elusive dimension of human consciousness. The zigzag, flame-like, decorative lines and surfaces around the head can be interpreted as a symbol of the emanation of thoughts.…
The handling of paint is both directed and spontaneous: in addition to the consciously formed contours, random traces of paint also appear. This duality carries an important ideological layer of the painting, suggesting that human destiny is only partially under the power of will and control, while chance and the space of unpredictability always remain present.
